Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-11-03.
Agreement
These terms apply when you create a Knotbind account or use the service. If you use it for a company, you confirm that you may bind that company. If you have signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement comes first where the two differ.
The service
Knotbind watches MCP servers and APIs, lets AI agents ask for actions on a business's systems under the Owner's rules, generates MCP servers from OpenAPI descriptions, opens pull requests when a third-party API changes (Mend), and provides an AI gateway. The pages on this site describe each part. We may improve, change or remove features, and we say what changed on the changes page.
Accounts
- Give accurate details and keep your sign-in and API keys secret.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and keys.
- The Owner approves changes and releases agent actions. Tell us at once if you think a key or session has been exposed.
Agents act for you
An agent that you or your team connect acts on your authority. Policies, payment mandates and approvals are yours to set, and anything an agent does within them is your action. Knotbind keeps the record and applies the limits you set, but it cannot know whether a booking, order or payment was the right one for your business. Releasing an approval is your decision.
Plans and payment
- Free, Pro and Business are described on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars, exclude applicable taxes and may change for future periods. We tell you before a change reaches your next bill.
- Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and renew until you cancel. If a payment fails there is a grace period, after which the workspace returns to the Free plan limits.
- Enterprise and Build work are agreed in writing, and those terms apply to them.
Your content and data
You keep your rights in everything you connect and send. You give us permission to process it only to run the service for you, as the privacy policy describes. Do not send us data you have no right to send. Do not put credentials or personal data in places that are not meant for them, such as tool descriptions or agent memory.
Acceptable use
Use of the service must follow the acceptable use policy.
Third-party services
Knotbind connects to services you choose, such as your MCP servers, GitHub, model providers and Stripe. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them. A passing Check proves what the Check tested, not that a particular assistant or product works.
Our materials
Knotbind, its software, documentation and brand belong to us or our licensors. You may use them to use the service. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law allows it.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the service running but do not promise that it is always available or free of errors. We may suspend a workspace that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we will say why when we can.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Knotbind at any time and delete your workspace data from the dashboard. We can end your access if you break these terms. Terms that by their nature continue, such as the limits on our liability, continue after that.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of a diagnosis or repair, or uninterrupted operation. A proposed repair or pull request is a suggestion that you review before you use it.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost revenue or lost data, and our total liability for all claims in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change matters, we tell account Owners by email before it applies. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept it.
