// one shop, then the rest of the product
Northline Tees, from the question to the record.
Waiting does not pause the question. It leaves it with whoever
published a tool first.
01
The person using an AI Assistant already asked
A person opens ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok or Meta Muse and asks: navy tee, size L, in stock, pickup today. An AI Assistant does not browse a homepage the way a person does. It calls a tool. If the shop has no tool, it is not in the answer.
02
See if an AI Assistant can find you
Start with the free Agent Readiness Check. It is read-only. It tells you whether an AI Assistant can discover the service, read a description and connect, and it does not call your tools or send a credential.
03
Give the AI Assistant a true answer
A Build describes or creates the API, then the MCP server: what is in stock, which sizes, where an order is. You get the source. Writes stay opt-in. Local checks are not a production certificate.
04
Keep the answer true next month
A renamed size field does not show an error page in a chat. Reliability runs the question on a schedule, names the change, and drafts a fix that has already passed in a Sandbox. Nothing goes live until the Owner says yes.
05
Put a ceiling on the AI Assistant on your own site
If the shop also runs an AI Assistant on its own site, that chat should not carry a raw provider key. The Gateway gives it one URL and one access key, with a monthly budget and a request rate.
06
Add a control only for the failure you have
Repeated stock questions are a cache. An order reply that echoes a card number is a guardrail. A dead provider is a failover rule you add yourself. A burst is an extra rate limit. A provider split is analytics. Each is a module, off until you enable it.
07
Say where the data sits
Pick EU or US. Gateway traffic, Checks, logs, credentials and the Audit Record stay in that region. EU hosting includes a GDPR data processing agreement. The record of each Check and each Owner approval is what you show when someone asks how a person stayed in charge.
