| Name | Purpose | Needed? |
|---|---|---|
| kb_client | Keeps a customer signed in to the dashboard (up to 12 hours). | Yes |
| kb_session | Keeps the Knotbind team signed in to the admin console. | Yes |
| kb_social, kb_social_id, kb_oauth_return, kb_mcp_oauth | Hold the state of a sign-in or connection that is in progress, such as Sign in with Google or Apple, or connecting an assistant. They are short-lived. | Yes |
| knotbind-consent (browser storage) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, on this browser only. | Yes |
| Google Analytics cookies (_ga and related) | Count visits to the site. | No. Off until you accept. |
The cookies that keep you signed in are marked HttpOnly and are signed so they cannot be altered.
Your choice
Google Analytics does not load until you press Accept on the cookie panel. If you press Reject, the Google script is never loaded. You can change your mind at any time with the cookie button at the corner of every page.
Visit counts we make ourselves
Without a cookie, we also count requests to the public pages. For that we store a one-way fingerprint that is built from your network address and the date, and so changes every day. We never store the address itself. See the privacy policy.
